Kisspeptin-10 (Metastin Fragment 45–54)

Description:
Kisspeptin-10 is a synthetic decapeptide fragment derived from the Kisspeptin (Metastin) family, a group of neuropeptides encoded by the KISS1 gene. It plays a pivotal role in the regulation of reproductive hormone secretionthrough stimulation of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons. Kisspeptin-10 has been extensively studied for its influence on pubertal development, fertility, and reproductive endocrinology, as well as its emerging roles in energy balance, mood regulation, and tumor suppression.

Key Benefits:

  • Stimulates natural GnRHLH, and FSH secretion

  • Supports fertility and reproductive health research

  • Regulates hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis activity

  • May influence libido, mood, and hormonal balance

  • Plays a potential role in anti-metastatic and metabolic pathways

Mechanism of Action:
Kisspeptin-10 binds to the GPR54 (Kiss1R) receptor on hypothalamic GnRH neurons, initiating a signaling cascade that stimulates the release of GnRH, leading to elevated luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)production from the anterior pituitary. This pathway governs key reproductive functions including gametogenesis, ovulation, and steroid hormone synthesis. In addition to reproductive roles, Kisspeptin-10 is being investigated for its effects on energy metabolismappetite, and cancer metastasis suppression.
