Sermorelin Acetate (GRF 1–29 / Growth Hormone–Releasing Hormone Analog)
Description:
Sermorelin Acetate is a synthetic growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) analog consisting of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH — the biologically active segment responsible for stimulating natural growth hormone (GH) secretion from the pituitary gland. This peptide is widely used in research related to growth hormone regulation, anti-aging, and metabolic optimization, offering a natural method of enhancing GH and IGF-1 production without exogenous hormone administration.
Key Benefits:
Stimulates natural growth hormone and IGF-1 secretion
Supports lean muscle development and cellular regeneration
Enhances fat metabolism and energy balance
Promotes better sleep, recovery, and cognitive clarity
Preserves endogenous pituitary function and hormonal rhythm
Mechanism of Action:
Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary gland, activating the adenylate cyclase pathway and promoting the pulsatile release of GH. This, in turn, stimulates the liver to produce insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), which mediates the regenerative and anabolic effects associated with growth hormone. Because Sermorelin works upstream in the GH axis, it maintains feedback regulation, preventing the desensitization or suppression associated with synthetic GH use.
